Be a Scientist

The Be a Scientist! event was delivered in celebration of Cardiff Science Festival and encouraged children aged 6+ to think about careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Hosted in the sbarc|spark building, the event showcased the work of 16 academic schools, University research centres, and local businesses across 20 stalls and four workshops with over 300 children participating.

The CS Hub, along with  South Wales Compound Semiconductor Place Based Impact Acceleration Account, ICS, and EPSRC CDT in compound Semiconductor Manufacturing  ran a collaborative exhibition stand delivering an array of fun activities, including interactive VR headsets. It was a pleasure to see how enthused the children who came to the stand were and we are proud to be part of such an important  initiative.
