Professor S.C. Lenny Koh Awarded Prestigious IOM3 Fellowship

In June 2026, Professor S.C. Lenny Koh was awarded the prestigious Fellowship of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (FIMMM) by the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3).

Professor Koh is Chair Professor in Operations Management and Director of the Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) Research Centre at the University of Sheffield. She also serves as a Work Package Lead within the CS Hub. She received the FIMMM designation in recognition of her significant contributions to the development of resilient and sustainable material supply chains across a range of strategic sectors, including compound semiconductors, advanced ceramics, rare earth elements, and green hydrogen technologies.

Fellowship (FIMMM) represents the highest and most prestigious grade of IOM3 membership. It is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding achievement and made substantial contributions to the materials, minerals, mining, or related technical disciplines within IOM3’s remit. Fellowship is widely regarded as a mark of professional excellence and esteem, recognising distinguished accomplishments in both academia and industry.

Professor Koh’s award highlights her international leadership in sustainable supply chain research and her ongoing contribution to advancing the resilience and sustainability of critical materials and emerging technologies.
